TOMBOLO IS A POP-UP CHILDREN’S ART GALLERY FOR THE YOUNG AND YOUNG AT HEART
We offer a platform for children to see their art on a big stage and to know that their perspective and voices matter.
The gallery is a whimsical escape for children and their
grown-ups; reminding people of all ages to tap into playfulness and curiosity.

2024 was OUR
INAUGURAL
YEAR
Small but mighty, we took over 600 sq ft with 100+ pieces of artwork from children aged 3-10. What resulted was one fun-filled weekend of art-making, art-admiring, workshops, and more!
our vision for 2025:
SEPTEMBER 12-21
We have secured a larger space for 2025 and are doubling down on interactivity!
Located in a West End heritage home, Tombolo House will be a multi-room destination for imagination and whimsy. Upon entering, visitors will weave through a storybook world with plenty of surprise and delights to accompany the children’s artwork.
Held over multiple weekends, we aim to be open for school and community groups during the week.

Over the last two years, we’ve showcased over 300 pieces of children’s artwork and we have no plans to stop! However, we are entirely grassroots and exist only because of sponsors, volunteers, partners and collaborators.
While we are a scrappy team, we appreciate any and all support. If you would like to contribute to our next production, you can select from one of the one-time payment options below:

ReLIVE the Tombolo experience
In partnership with our 2025 Title Sponsor, Rebel Goose Books, we have created a special Art Book starring all of the children’s artwork from our last event. This special edition captures a space where imagination reigns and children’s creativity is celebrated.
Inside, you’ll find:
A silly-putty unicorn, lava bombs, a moon island, potato guys, a world where anything is possible, and more!
A collection of over 200 pieces of art
A meaningful keepsake for families, young artists, and anyone who believes in creative expression
This book is scheduled for release in March 2026. Preorders will be charged at the time of purchase, and both the physical book and your digital download will be sent to you when the book is complete.
All proceeds from this book are donated to Friends of the Vancouver Public Library.
